Myofascial Release (MFR) is a form of therapy that addresses restrictions and imbalances of the fascial connective tissue in the body. It is a whole body approach that is used to promote wellness, decrease or eliminate pain, and restore movement.
MFR is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the myofascial connective tissue in order to allow the release of restrictions.
Myofascial Release (MFR) is unique from physical therapy, chiropractic care, and other forms of bodywork in that it addresses restrictions at all levels within the fascial system of the body, superficial (directly below the skin) to deep (enveloping and infusing the brain and spinal cord). It can provide relief to those experiencing pain from headaches, backaches, and other chronic pain issues as well as relieve pain related to injuries, illness, and diseases.
Each Myofascial Release Treatment session is performed directly on the skin without the use of oils, creams or machinery. This allows for accurate detection of fascial restrictions and the application of the appropriate amount of sustained pressure to facilitate the release of the fascia.
